The Road Ends Here.

I find it fitting that we got to go to the final four the same weekend as the last week of my first trimester.  The slogan to the final four is "The Road Ends Here."  I took this to mean that the road ends here for all the migraines and morning sickness that I encountered during the first trimester.  So we celebrated to things in Dallas last weekend.

Championship Game in Dallas, TX

We had our second prenatal appointment last Friday.  Such a cool event! The baby is no longer just a dot on the ultrasound machine.  We got to see its little hands, little feet, head, body, and spine.  It was such a neat experience.  Grandpa Mike Henning came up from Parker and joined us for the appointment.  He got to see the baby and hear its little heartbeat.  It really is such a moving experience to hear that little heartbeat.  The doctor tried to find the heartbeat with a topical heartbeat detector, but she could not find it because it was moving around so much.  So she brought in the ultrasound machine so we could all hear the heartbeat and see the baby.  Once we saw the Little Henning on the screen we understood why she could not find the heartbeat, it was moving all over the place.  You could see its arms and legs moving all over.  She gave us about 15 ultrasound pictures....so cute.  I will post the best ones on the Extra Extra page.

We really liked our OBGYN, this was the first appointment that we got to meet with her.  She took so much time with us to answer our questions and show us our little baby.  I am very happy with her and look forward to the rest of the pregnancy with her as my doctor.

The website "The Bump" says that the baby is a size of a plum this week.  We have 190 days until the due date.  I am officially entering my second trimester! Hope all is well! More to come next week!

Here are a few pictures of Scott and I in front of our house after the appointment.  Such a great day!
